Everyday is a school day - there are always new things to learn.
I might have left school a long time ago (well not as long ago as many - as I taught for 30 years!) Now, I continue to run my own businesses and find in this fast changing world , there are always new things to learn. I love to learn and share my knowledge with my network whether that be my community (in Ryde and the Isle of Wight) or my network which stretches across the globe or the network group I run here on the Isle of Wight . https://www.facebook.com/AllThingsNetworking
There are things to learn about what's going on in the community, what new things are happening in social media and what new businesses are starting up. Today I learnt about several of these. Tonight I'm going to learn more about my smart phone.
Although I have had it for 2 years, I'm still finding new things that I can do on it and I'm always willing to learn .As I say - every day is a school day! A far cry from the day I had my first smart phone and nearly threw it out of the window, declaring it was anything BUT smart!!! It was an HTC Wildfire and came with no instructions! I couldn't make head or tail of it and it only survived a disastrous ending when a smartphone savvy friend came to my rescue! How easy then when I finally switch to an Apple iphone and found it did everything for me!!
I learn in all sorts of way - motivational podcasts, you tube videos but much of my current learning is attributable to my son, Tristan and business partner. He sits at the cutting edge of social media watching for all the changes so our clients don't have to - and my goodness those changes happen on a daily basis. I love continually learning and last night watched as he was live on facebook helping our clients through Social Media Mentors Global The clients ask questions through the week and Tristan of ItsNomad9 ,answers those questions live as well as giving out top tips for productivity, saving our clients hours of their most precious commodity - time! Not only has he helped them save hours but I am now able to get my work done in a fraction of the time - all due to his favourite top tip.
So today is a new day - and I have an open mind for learning new things - whether for business or life in general. I never know when or where those lessons will come from. I wonder what you will learn today?
